According to the Greek scientist Claudius Ptolemy, the reign of the Babylonian king Nabû-naṣir begins under Assyrian supremacy. The Babylonian mathematics is coined by the Nabonassar era and on sky charts recorded on clay tablets can be arranged according to their temporal order.

Lorenzo (Lorenzino) di Pierfrancesco de' Medici è stato un politico, scrittore e drammaturgo italiano, esponente della famiglia Medici.

Belonging to the Popolano branch of the famous dynasty, he has gone down in history especially as the murderer of his cousin, Duke Alessandro de 'Medici.
On the evening of January 6, 1537 Lorenzino lured Alessandro to his apartments with the promise of a night of passion, and left him alone pretending that he was going to fetch a woman who had already agreed to meet him.
According to most historians, the woman was Caterina Soderini, wife of Leonardo Ginori, but others think it was Laudomia, Lorenzino’s sister. In the meantime, Alessandro fell asleep and, having previously sent away his men, he was completely defenceless when Lorenzino came back with his servant Piero di Giovannabate, a.k.a. Scoronconcolo. The two men assaulted the duke with swords and daggers, and Alessandro was killed even though he reacted ferociously and fought with all his might.

He greatly influenced William Shakespeare, who was born in the same year as Marlowe and who rose to become the pre-eminent Elizabethan playwright after Marlowe's mysterious early death. Marlowe's plays are known for the use of blank verse and their overreaching protagonists.

Mogami Yoshiaki was a daimyō of the Yamagata Domain in Dewa Province, in the late Sengoku and early Edo periods.

In 1600, he battled Uesugi Kagekatsu 上杉景勝155623, an enemy of Tokugawa's, alongside Date Masamune 伊達政宗156736 (his nephew), another lord of the far north.
He aided in Date's siege of Shiroishi 白石, and was then attacked in his own home castle of Hataya.
Later that year, Mogami and Date supported Ieyasu 徳川家康154316 at the famous battle of Sekigahara 關ヶ原, after which Mogami's domain was expanded to 520,000 石(koku) in return for his loyal service. This made the Yamagata domain the fifth largest in Japan at the time, excluding the land held by Tokugawa.

In the Treaty of Fontainebleau (1814/0411), the Allies exiled him to Elba, an island of 12,000 inhabitants in the Mediterranean, 20 km off the Tuscan coast. They gave him sovereignty over the island and allowed him to retain the title of Emperor. Napoleon attempted suicide with a pill he had carried after nearly being captured by the Russians during the retreat from Moscow. Its potency had weakened with age, however, and he survived to be exiled while his wife and son took refuge in Austria.
In the first few months on Elba he created a small navy and army, developed the iron mines, oversaw the construction of new roads, issued decrees on modern agricultural methods, and overhauled the island's legal and educational system.
A few months into his exile, Napoleon learned that his ex-wife Josephine had died in France. He was devastated by the news, locking himself in his room and refusing to leave for two days.

日本人にとっては『赤穗義士』と二枚看板になった日本人の大好きな事件であり、無數の各種の出版とその映像化とで、日本人には染みこむほどに知れ渡ってゐるだらう。
私には私なりの解釋があるが、それを今こゝで書きだせば、この場所にふさはしくない長さとなってしまふだらう。

東京を戒嚴令下にして、やがて、三日をかけて龍頭蛇尾の感じで終息した事件、そして軍法裁判の茶番劇、その余波と影響のうちに日中そして日米の戦争へと突入していく軍國日本、

叛乱軍の栗原安秀中尉と下士官兵

私はかつて、この事件を出發點にして、日本が敗戰にいたる過程を、一人の少年を主人公にして物語らうと着想したことがある。
その少年は昭和が始まった同じ年に生まれ、この事件のあった昭和十一年の冬には學習院初等部の五年生となってゐた。おばあさまの手で大事に育てられた脆弱兒で、青白く痩せてゐたため「靑白」とか「蝋燭」とか（大都會のブルジョワ子弟たちにしては言語センスがよくないね）アダナされて、クラスメイトのイジメにあってゐた。口うるさいおばあさまの愛玩物である彼は、その影響を受けて日本の文藝や演藝に慣れしたしんで、そのおかげもあってか、敗戰後、『假面の告白』といふ自傳的小説でその文學的才能を開花させ、流行作家となり、やがて、それまでそんな氣配はまったくなかったのに、肉体強化とともに『英靈の聲』が聞こえるやうになり、殊に、二二六事件の關係者の怨念怨嗟の聲のお筆先となったりして、魂魄と轉生を信ずるやうになり、寫眞や映畫の主人公を演じてゐるうちに、現實感がモウロウとしてきたのか、コスチュウムプレイのやうな軍服姿で自死していった ―― この三島由起夫といふ筆名で世に知れ渡った平岡公威少年のことを、この大雪のなかの軍事騷動の現場に立たせてみたら、と閃いたのであった。
さう閃いたのは、キミタケ少年が通ふ學習院初等部が二二六事件の現場となったあたりとあまりに近い、ほとんど重なってゐるといふ事實であった。それに、後年、この叛亂軍將校のタマシヒが憑いたくらゐだから、その原因となるやうな冒險をさせてみたらどうだらう、とモノ語りは勝手に動きだしてゐたのである。
この日、學習院初等部は緊急事態發生に一時限で中止となり、教師は「如何なる場合も學習院學生たる誇りを忘れてはならぬ」と訓示して下校させた。
多分、實際にはこの脆弱で從順であった少年のキミタケはおとなしく急ぎ歸っていっただらうが、私のキミタケ少年は、學友に誘はれて、叛亂現場を冒險しに行く。そして、軍服姿のりりしさで猛々しく緊張したお兄さんたちの活動ぶりを間近に見て、今までになかった種類のコウフンを覺える。 ……
後年の彼に辻褄を合はせるのなら、この時のキミタケ少年はこのやうでなければなるまい。
かうして、わが『昭和』三部作の第三作目となる、敗戰から敗戰後の昭和日本を描く『道化と仮面』のために造形していったのであった。ちなみに、道化とは、敗戰後に情死する高場亂183191を象徴させてゐます。敗戦直後、キミタケ青年は文學同人と一緒に太宰を訪ねて行き、その席で「私はあなたが嫌ひです」と云ひ放って太宰を鼻じまらせたといふ有名な逸話があります。それをどうアレンジして物語組み込んでいったか、もう忘れてしまったけれど ……
もうずっとずっと昔のことだ。おもはず L’histore est ma histoire してしまった。
