The last of the Roman civil wars of the republic, fought between Mark Antony (assisted by Cleopatra) and Octavian. After the Roman Senate declared war on the Egyptian queen Cleopatra, Antony（her lover and ally）, betrayed the Roman government and joined the war on Cleopatra’s side. After the decisive victory for Octavian at the Battle of Actium, Cleopatra and Antony withdrew to Alexandria, where Octavian besieged the city until both Antony and Cleopatra committed suicide.

1179/0902(治承03/⑦29)：平重盛113879、逝去

生母は、右近將監の高階基章の女であった。
最初、鳥羽法皇の蔵人に召された。1156保元の亂に父清盛に從つて參戰。その勝ち戦の功績で十九歳にして從五位上に昇進した。清盛は嫡男を盛りあげることに熱心だった。
1159平治の亂、清盛は熊野參詣のため紀伊にゐた。急遽、京に戻った清盛は078二条守仁114365天皇を六波羅に脱出させ、藤原信頼113360･源義朝112360の追討宣旨を受ける。重盛は叔父の頼盛と出陣した。この時、重盛は「時は平治、都は平安、我等は平氏。三つ平が並んだ。ならば、敵を平らげよう」と鼓舞したといふ。重盛は御所の右近橘、左近櫻のあひだで源義平と激戰した、と物語は記す。この戰にも勝った。
清盛が天下を掌握していくなか、長男の重盛の昇進も加速した。1162應保二年の正月には從三位の公卿に二十六歳で列した。
清盛は二条天皇の親政を支持する一方、後白河上皇への配慮も欠かさなかった。上皇のために蓮華王院を造營、その功績を重盛に讓り、重盛は正三位に昇進した。
1165、二条天皇は崩御した。後繼の六条天皇を平氏は攝關家とともに支へた。が、政局はきはめて不安定となった。
平氏は後白河上皇支持に立場を變へた。これにより、憲仁親王の立太子が成ると、その乳母に重盛の正室の經子が選ばれた。清盛から東宮大夫の職を讓られ、1167には權大納言となった。この年の五月、清盛は太政大臣を辭するが、それに先立ち、重盛に山賊海賊の追討宣旨を重盛に下した。これにより、重盛は名實ともに清盛の後継者の立場に立った。
が、この頃すでに重盛は病魔に冒されてゐた。清盛も1168仁安三年二月には病のために出家した。重盛の病状も思はしくなく權大納言を辭した。
出家後の清盛は新都の福原に隱居し、京都には六波羅に重盛が殘り、棟梁として一門を統率した。

｛平清盛111881の長男ではあったが、生母が正室となった平時子112685ではなかったことと、彼が『平家物語』などで悲劇的文化英雄として造形されたことと深い内因關係があるのだらう（物語作者は鋭敏に重盛の履歴に感じとったのだ。
｛史實の重盛と物語のそれとのあまりの相違に（『平家物語』から彼のことを識った私は）愕然となった。そして、歴史に疑ひを持った。正確には、物語のはうへ疑ひを持つべきであったらうが、私はすでに文藝の側に身を置いてゐた。
所詮、歴史といへども、それが文字により記述である以上は、恣意と偏見からは逃れられない。客觀的な正確さなどは期待できないし、すべきでもない。それは、一つの事件を記録した第一次史料といふべき記録を並べてみれば、歴然として理解できるであらう。所詮、歴史は物語にすぎないのではないか。だから、容易に物語へと歪曲されて、そして記録は記憶されるのである。

幕府執權の北条時頼が病で出家、北条政村が後繼。

會津討伐に進軍中の徳川家康154316は下野國の小山で石田三成156000の挙兵の報に諸將を集めて鳩首軍議をおこなふ。

1610/0902(慶長15/0719)：大友義統155810、死去

「おほとも よしむね」九州の名門である大友氏の第二十二代の當主。戰國大名の雄、大友宗麟義鎭153087の嫡男。
偉大なる父が生んだ無能なる後繼者であった彼は勃興した大友氏を沒落させていったが、なぜか天下人となった秀吉には贔屓にされ、豐臣の姓を下賜されたうへ、偏諱もあたへられ「吉統」と改名、從四位下の侍從、さらには參議にも取り立てられた。が、
1593、朝鮮征伐の平壤城の戰で、包圍された小西行長155800の救援要請を受けたが、行長戰死と聞いて撤退、しかしこれは誤報であった。これを識った秀吉が逆鱗した。死罪のところ、死一等は減じられたが、改易となり大友累代の所領であった豐後豐前は取りあげられた。そして、その身は次々と場所を移しながらの幽閉状態。秀吉の死によりやうやく罪を赦され、秀頼に仕へた。關ヶ原戰では、迷ったが西軍に味方することにした。
そして、またも判斷ミス、

その人物については「不明懦弱」と評され、みづからも天正遣歐使節が帰国した際、宣教師に棄教を弁解したときに「自分は意志薄弱で優柔不斷な性分」と弁解してゐる。酒癖もわるかった。その他にも多々、棟梁たるにふさはしからぬ言動を繰り返してゐる。

0902から数日間つづけられたパリの監獄での虐殺事件。殺害者数は 14,000 とも 16,000とも。その大半は、普通の犯罪者であった。
この慘劇によりフランス國内外でフランス革命にたいして疑惑が持たれるやうになった。

フランス革命で將軍となり、1800ホウエンリンデン戰でオウストリア軍を破り國民的英雄となったが、1802以後ナポレオンと不和となり、王統派に鞍替へした。イギリスの William Pitt 175906 の後援によるクウデタに加はり、流刑となった。後にロシア皇帝アレクサンドル一世に招かれ、ロシア軍元帥となり、ドレスデン戰で負傷、プラハで沒した。

The Tianjing incident takes place in Nanjing, China.

岡倉覺三。日本の思想家。東西の架橋の一人。
幼少期から覺えた英語で、お傭ひ外國人の Ernest Fenollosa 185308 の助手となり、公私にわたり彼の手傳ひをするうちに美術史の専門家になってゐた。

彼の有名な逸話に ――
天心が、ボストン美術館からの招待で、横山大觀や菱田春草たちを連れてアメリカに行った時、羽織袴の正裝を異樣に見たアメリカ人が嘲笑するやうに云った。
When Tenshin (invited from the Boston Museum of Art) went to the United States with Yokoyama Taikan and Hishida Syunsou, the American who differently saw the Japanese official costume (haori and hakama) said to ridicule him,
"What sort of nese are you people? Are you Chinese, or Japanese, or Javanese?"
As if waiting for it to be said so, Tenshin rephrased things wonderfully.
"We are Japanese gentlemen. But what kind of key are you? Are you a Yankee, or a donkey, or a monkey?"

｛「オリンピック競技」の信条「より速く･より高く･より遠く」は、西洋近代の指導理念そのものであった。オリンピックと万国博覧会とが車の兩輪となって西洋近代を邁進させていったのであった。科學技術の發展と人間の進化、その競爭に世界中が卷き込まれていった。クウベルタンの初志とは異なったものになっていったが、オリンピックといふ五輪は西洋近代の社界システムで世界を包みこんでしまった。
