The Roman army in Moravia is encircled by the Quadi, who have broken the peace treaty. In a violent thunderstorm emperor Marcus Aurelius defeats and subdues them in the so-called "miracle of the rain".

In 173, the Romans campaigned against the Quadi, who had broken their treaty and assisted their kin, and defeated and subdued them. During this campaign, a famous incident, the so-called "miracle of the rain", occurred, which was later depicted on the column of Marcus Aurelius and on coins. According to Cassius Dio, the legio XII Fulminata was hemmed in by a superior Quadi force and almost forced to surrender because of the heat and thirst. They were saved, however, by a sudden shower, which refreshed the Romans, while lightning struck the Quadi. Contemporaries and historians attributed it to divine intervention: Dio stated that it was called by an Egyptian magician praying to Mercury, while Christian writers such as Tertullian attributed it to a prayer by Christians.  Wikipedia En

1173/0611(承安03/0429)：日本、文覺、後白河法皇に伊豆に流される

俗名遠藤盛遠の文覺113903、077後白河雅仁112792法皇に高雄山神護寺の再興を強訴して、伊豆國に流される。

文覺113903、俗名遠藤盛遠。攝津源氏の渡邊黨･遠藤黨の出身で、北面武士となり鳥羽天皇皇女の統子内親王に仕へてゐたが、十九歳で出家。
高雄山神護寺の最高を077後白河雅仁112792天皇に強訴して、伊豆國に流罪。伊豆では近藤四郎國高に預けられ、そこで蛭ヶ島に配流されてゐた源頼朝114799と知りあった。
後に、頼朝や後白河法皇の庇護を受け、神護寺･東寺･高野山大塔･東大寺など、各地の寺院を修繕、復興させた。また、平維盛115884の遺児六代の助命を嘆願し、神護寺に預かったりもした。
頼朝存命中は鎌倉幕府側として大きな政事力を持ってゐたが、頼朝逝去後は、將軍家や天皇家の跡目相續の政爭に卷き込まれ、三左衞門事件に連座醫して佐渡に流罪となる。後、許されて京に戻るが、六代はすでに處刑されてゐた。さらには、1205元久二年、後鳥羽上皇に謀叛の疑ひをかけられ、対馬に配流の途中、鎭西で客死した。

この戰鬪は、Jeanne d'Arc 141231 の最初の攻撃的な戰鬪であった。オルレアンの包圍からフランス軍を救出した直後、ロワヌ川に沿った近くの地域をフランス軍は取り返した。
この勢ひに乘りフランス軍はロワヌ川沿ひの諸都市を攻略してロワル地方を制壓し、0618のパテの戰鬪でフランス軍が完勝し、イギリス軍のフランスから徹底へと繋がっていった。

1587/0611：日本、戰國期の吉利支丹大名 大友宗麟義鎭153087、死去

Ōtomo Sōrin, also known as Ōtomo Yoshishige (大友義鎮), was a Japanese feudal lord (daimyō) of the Ōtomo clan, one of the few to have converted to Roman Catholicism (Christianity).
The eldest son of Ōtomo Yoshiaki, he inherited the Funai Domain, on Kyūshū, Japan's southernmost main island, from his father. He is perhaps most significant for having appealed to Toyotomi Hideyoshi to intervene in Kyūshū against the Shimazu clan, thus spurring Hideyoshi's Kyūshū Campaign of 1587.

禅宗を信奉していたが宣教に來たキリスト教への関心を強め、洗礼を受けた。
最盛期には九州六ヶ国を支配し、九州を「キリシタン王国」にする間際まできたが薩摩の島津義弘153519に敗れ。晩年には豊臣秀吉の時代には豊後一国までに衰退した。

Tsuda Sōgyū est un membre de l'influente famille de marchands de Sakai 堺 dont le nom commerçant est Tennōjiya 天王寺屋. Avec son père, Tsuda Sōtatsu 津田宗哲, il fait des Tennōjiya l'une des maisons de commerce les plus prospères de Sakai. Il réussit cela en gagnant la confiance d'Oda Nobunaga, qui est alors sur la voie du pouvoir.
Vers 1574, il devient l'un des trois marchands-maître de thé de Sakai à être responsable du chanoyu (cérémonie du thé japonaise) pour Nobunaga, une position nommée chatō (lit. « chef du thé »). Les deux autres sont Imai Sōkyū et Sen no Rikyū.

Tokugawa Ienobu was the sixth shōgun of the Tokugawa dynasty of Japan.
 He was the eldest son of Tokugawa Tsunashige, thus making him the nephew of Tokugawa Ietsuna and Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, the grandson of Tokugawa Iemitsu, the great-grandson of Tokugawa Hidetada 徳川秀忠157932, and the great-great grandson of Tokugawa Ieyasu 徳川家康154316. All of Ienobu's children died young.

The Naval Battle of the Riachuelo is fought on the rivulet Riachuelo (Argentina), between the Paraguayan Navy on one side and the Brazilian Navy on the other. The Brazilian victory was crucial for the later success of the Triple Alliance (Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina) in the Paraguayan War.

政體書とは、明治維新のための政治大綱で、政治機構についての太政官布告である。
副島種臣1812805と福岡考弟183519がアメリカ合衆國憲法や『西洋事情』などを參考に起草した。
冒頭に『五箇条御誓文』を掲げ、これを背骨にして國家權力を総括する中央政府として「太政官」を置き、その權力を立法行政司法に三権分立した。

The Hundred Days' Reform is started by Guangxu Emperor with a plan to change social, political and educational institutions in China, but is suspended by Empress Dowager Cixi after 104 days. The failed reform though led to the abolition of the Imperial examination in 1905.

1898/0611（光緒24/0424）に、光緒帝の支持のもと、變法派の若い康有爲185827･梁啓超187329･譚嗣同186598らによって推進された。が、「百日維新」に終ってしまった。
これ以前、1861以來、洋務運動で清朝の國勢を回復させようとしたが、舊體制をそのまゝに西洋の科學技術を継ぎ足すといふ洋務運動では、日清戰爭の敗北も重なり、行き詰まりを見せてゐた。
國家の拔本的な變革＝變法の必要性が求められた。具體的には人材登用において科擧制に代はる近代的な學制をはじめとする國制の變革。この時、明治日本の實例が參考にされた。光緒帝自身「明治維新に倣へば、三年にして變革は大略なり、五年にして情理を備へ、八年にして效果を上げ、十年にして覇業を定める」と宣言した。
が、變法が始まるとお決まりの新旧對立が激しくなり、舊守派として西太后が出てきて、變法派は西太后の排除を画策するが、西太后側のクウデタにより、光緒帝は監禁され、變法派の中心人物は處刑されてしまった。

His best-known contribution to social theory is his study of symbolic interaction. This took the form of dramaturgical analysis, beginning with his 1956 book, The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life.
Goffman's other major works include Asylums (1961), Stigma (1963), Interaction Ritual (1967), Frame Analysis (1974), and Forms of Talk (1981). His major areas of study included the sociology of everyday life, social interaction, the social construction of self, social organization (framing) of experience, and particular elements of social life such as total institutions and stigmas.

The Soviet authorities accused him of treason and had him shot during the military purges of 1937–1938, but rehabilitated his reputation in the 1960s.

He claimed to be the 19th direct descendant of Emperor Go-Kameyama.

Marion Mitchell Morrison, known professionally as John Wayne and nicknamed Duke, was an American actor and filmmaker.
An Academy Award-winner for True Grit (1969), Wayne was among the top box office draws for three decades.
Wayne's career took off in 1939, with John Ford's Stagecoach making him an instant star. He went on to star in 142 motion pictures altogether, including the dozens with his name above the title produced before 1939.

｛出世作の『駅馬車』の彼も魅力的だったし、西部劇ではない『靜かなる男』が彼の一番の作品と思ってゐる。晩年に近い『リバティバランスを撃った男』もいい役囘りだったし、自分で監督した『アラモ』もその主題歌のお陰もあって私には忘れがたい映画となってゐる。これだけ氣に入った作品があるのだから、好きな男優と云っていいのだらう。子供の時に映画のなかで強くて正しい、善きアメリカ人をたくさん見たために今でもアメリカ人にたいしてさうした「偏見」を持ちやすいことに氣付かされることがある。レーガンのやうなチンピラ俳優ではなく、これらの英雄的な彼等のうちの一人でも二人でも大統領になってゐたら、とふと想像されてきたりもするのである。
