歴史暦：古今東西 ０５／１４ 今日の出來事
偶然にも今年の「母の日」と重なってしまった、ちょっと、いや、だいぶグロテスクな出来事 ―― 五歳七ヶ月と二十一日の幼女が母親となった（事實は小説より奇なり）史實と遭遇した。
どう想像すればいいのか、 …… どうにも想像できない。無理に想像しようすれば、吐き氣を催しさうだ。五歳半だぜ。
世界記録なら何でも載せる、ギネスブックは「世界最年少で出産した人物」として記録されてゐたが、現在ではこの項目は削除されてゐる。
低年齢での出産記録は、1910年に中國で父親九歳、母親八歳といふ例があり、1930年にはソ連で六歳での出産（死産）の例などがあるさうだ。日本でも昔の讀本に八歳で出産の話が収録されてゐる。やんぬるかな

『徒然草』
序段つれづれなるまゝに、日ぐらし硯にむかひて、心にうつりゆくよしなし事を、そこはかとなく書きつくれば、あやしうこそものぐるほしけれ。
｛あやしうこそものぐるほしけれ、とはおおげさに過ぎるようだが、まさしく實感であつたに違ひない。それはこれから書きつなれられた文を見れば分かる通り、多くは實に實にたわいもない内容のことばかりなのだ。中年をすぎてこのていたらく、暗澹たるおもひが去來して、自嘲もならず、と言う事であつたにちがいないのである。
第三十八段
名利につかはれて、閑かなる暇なく、一生を苦しむこそ、愚かなれ。
寶多ければ身を守るに、まどし。害をかひ、わずらひを招くなかだちなり。身の後には、黄金をして北斗をささふとも、人のためにぞわづらはるべき。愚かなる人の目を喜ばしむる樂しみ、また味氣なし。大きなる車、肥たる馬、金玉の飾りも、心有らん人は、うたて愚かなりとぞ見るべき。黄金は山に捨て、玉は淵に投ぐべし。利に惑ふはすぐれて愚かなる人なり。
埋れたる名を長き世に殘さんこそ、あらまほしけれ。位高く、やんごとなきをしも、優れたる人とやはいふべき。愚かに拙き人も、家に生れ時にあへば、高き位に登り、奢を極むるもあり。いみじかりし賢人聖人、みづからいやしき位に居り、時に會はずして止みぬる、また多し。濫りに高き司位を望むも、次に愚かなり。
知惠と心とこそ、世にすぐれたる譽も遺さまほしきを、つらつらおもへば譽を愛する人は、人の聞きを喜ぶなり。譽むる人誹る人、共に世にとどまらず、傳へ聞かん人、またまた速やかに去るべし。誰をか恥ぢ、誰にか知られん事を願はん。譽れはまた誹りの本なり。身の後の名、殘りて更に益なし。これを願ふも、次に愚かなり。
但、しひて智を求め、賢を願ふ人のためにいはば、知惠出でては僞あり。才能は煩惱の増長せるなり。傳えて聞き學びて知るは、まことの智にあらず。如何なるをか智といふべき。可不可は一絛なり。如何なるをか前と言ふ。眞の人は智もなく徳もなく功もなく名もなし。誰か知り、誰か傳えん。これ、徳を隱し愚を守るにはあらず。本より賢愚得失の境に居らざればなり。迷ひの心持ちて名利の要を求むるにかくのごとし。萬事はみな非なり。云ふに足らず、願ふに足らず。

この日、内務卿の大久保利通183078は、明治天皇に謁見するために二頭立ての馬車で自宅を出て、御前八時半頃、東京都麹町區紀尾井町清水谷にさしかかった所で、待ち伏せてゐた不平士族六名に襲撃され、刺殺された。享年四十九（滿四十七歳）。
大久保は全身に十六箇所の傷を受けた。事件直後に驅けつけた前島密183519は「肉飛び骨碎け、頭蓋裂けて腦のなほ微動するを見る」と記してゐる。さらに前島は、生前の大久保から「西郷隆盛と口論して、西郷に追はれて高い崖から落ちたが、自分の腦が碎けてピクピク動いてゐるのがアリアリと見えた」といふ惡夢の話を聞いてゐたことも記してゐる。
