歴史は物語へ「ネロもピョウトル大帝も、痴情のはての刃傷沙汰も

人間の歴史を「善」から始めた（さうせざるを得なかった）司馬遷-14586は、その歴史の展開にたちまち躓かざるを得なかった。さうして、窮餘の一策に『伯夷列傳』を創作して、累々たる「惡」の史實の劈頭に置いて歴史を始めたのであった。

どうして、開始して間もないロウマ帝國にネロのやうなひたすら惡逆なる王が出現するのか。ネロの前にはカリグラがゐた。ネロの後にはネロをまねたやうな皇帝が續出する。
そして、私にさらに怪訝なのは、かうした惡逆の王を輩出しながら、どうしてロウマ帝國はその後も長く續いていったのか。
これが人の世、人間の世界だからとたゞ納得するしかないのだらうか。

人間は支配したがるイキモノだ。だが、同時に支配されたがるイキモノでもある。
Friedrich Hegel 177031 が云った「MasterーSlave」の關係は、かうした人間の本性にもとづいてゐるのであって、外部的条件よりも人間の内面、しかも本質の部分によって成立してゐるのではないだらうか。

人間は、自由や平等や博愛といった「人間性」の理念をどのくらゐ本氣で信奉してゐるのであらうか。フランス革命のその無慘な結末、そこから生まれてきたナポレオンボナパルトのことなど思ふと、私は疑ひ深くなっていくのである。

1358/0609：グランドジャクリによるメロの大虐殺

ジャックリの反亂 は、1358年に百年戦争中のフランスで起こった大規模な農民反乱。
この時の虐殺は、支配者が農民を虐殺したのではなく、農民が支配者である領主らを「旦那たちを殺せ」の合言葉で殺し、女は犯し、子供は串刺しにして丸燒きにしたと傳へられてゐる。
その農民の指導者となったギヨム･カルルはナバラ王シャルルとこの「メロ」の戰ひをして敗れた。今度は農民が慘殺されることとなった。
同時期、イギリスではワットタイラの反亂が起きてゐる。

1648/0609(慶安01/0418)：天海死後、その遺業が幕府により完成

南光坊天海による日本初となる木活字による経典『大蔵経（寛永寺版）』が完成。

天臺宗の層であった
南光坊天海153643については、彼自身が「俗氏の事、人の問ひしかど氏姓も行年忘れていさし知らず」と語り、自分の出自を語らなかったためによく解らず、ために彼の出自については逞しい想像が、將軍足利義澄148111の遺児とか明智光秀152882の變身とか、なされてゐる。

天海としての足跡がたしかになるのは、無量壽寺の住持になった時、1599慶長四年からである。この時、江戸崎不動院の住持も兼務してゐた。
この後、天海は徳川家康154316の參謀となって朝廷との交渉事などを担当する。
1607、比叡山探題執行を命じられ、南光坊に住して延暦寺の再興に關はった。
1612慶長十七年には無量壽寺北院の再興に着手、寺號を「喜多院」に改め、關東天臺の本山とした。
1613、家康より日光山貫主の職を拜命、本坊と光明院を再興した。また、大阪の役の切っ掛けを作った方廣寺鐘銘事件にも深く關はってゐたとされる。

危篤状態となった家康は遺言の事を大僧正となった天海らに托す。家康の死後、その神號をめぐって、金地院崇傳156933や本田正純156537の「明神」にたいし、それは秀吉に豐國大明神の神號を贈られて以後の秀吉のことを思へば不吉である、「權現」にすべしと自分の山王一實神道で祀ることを主張し「東照大權現」とし、家康の遺骸を久能山から日光山に改葬した。

長壽によって、二代秀忠、三代家光と仕へた。

1624寛永元年には寛永寺を創建するなど江戸の都市計劃にも、陰陽道や風水などの知識によって中心的地位で關與した。江戸の地を家康に選ばせたのも天海だといふ。天海は陰陽五行説の四神相應の地として、江戸を最適値とした。
京都の天皇勢力との一大事件となった「紫衣事件」では、有罪とされた者の特赦を願ひ出ることも屡々であった。柳生宗矩157146らとともに澤庵宗彭157346の赦免にも盡力した。
1843寛永20、百八歳まで生きたといふ。

その死後、1648慶安01に、天海が着手した果たせなかった『寛永寺版大藏經』が幕府の支援で完成した。

1796/0609(寛政08/0504)：日本は伊勢で「油屋騷動」事件

油屋騒動とは、江戸時代中頃に、伊勢國は伊勢神宮の近くの遊郭街、古市にある油屋で起きた殺傷事件のこと。俗に「古市十人斬り」とも呼ばれる。

この日の深夜、伊勢の古市の遊郭「油屋」で九人が切られ、うち三人が絶命する事件が起こった。

この事件は十日後には芝居に作られた。その後も、伊勢參りの人の土産話に全國中の噂となり、事件現場を見ようとする者で油屋は大繁盛したといふ。
芝居はさらに大掛かりに作られて、歌舞伎の今でもたびたび上演される名作『伊勢音頭恋寝刃』となって大阪で上演されたは1796寛政08/07のことであった。

1887(明治20)/0609：東京は濱町の、待合女將の刃傷沙汰

東京浜町の待合の女将（持主）、花井お梅が使用人の八杉峰三郎を刺殺する。その後、大衆演藝のネタになって「明治一代女」と呼ばれるやうになる。
などのモデルとなる。

藝妓となった花井お梅186316 は美貌の持主で氣っ風もよかったが、反面、勝ち氣で酒癖がわるく、癇癪持ちであった。座敷で彼女を見かけたことのある、お傭ひ外國人の Erwin von Bälz 184913（彼は当時の日本について貴重な傍觀者の觀察を殘してゐる）は「人殺しでもしかねない女」と云ったといふ。それが當たった。
お梅は或銀行の頭取の妾になったが、歌舞伎役者に惚れて貢ぐやうになった。が、その歌舞伎役者と悶着を起こし、そのことが原因で付き人を辭めさせられた男に同情して、自分の「箱屋（三味線など持って從ふ）」として雇った。

頭取から待合を買ってもらひ、女將となった。そして、この待合でこの日の事件を引き起こした。
刺した原因は、彼女の自供によれば、峰三郎の日頃の陰口への腹立ち、癇癪だったといふ。それには、峰三郎に横恋慕される鬱陶しさと彼に自分の待合が乘っ取られる心配とで思はずカッとして刃物沙汰となった。
峰三郎はその場を逃げたが、後に死んだ。お梅は父に連れられて自首して出た。

美人の藝妓の事件に、新聞は飛びつき「毒婦」物語が喧傳される。
裁判は弁護士らの活躍もあり、死刑は免れ無期徒刑となった。その服役中のことも新聞は書き立てた。
十五年後の釋放の時には、それを見ようとする黒山の人集りが豫想され、早めに裏口から出したといふ。
その後の彼女の運命は、型通りの零落物語となって終ったが、何時の間にか彼女の事件は「明治一代女」に脚色され、一時代を象徴する存在となってゐた。その流行歌は歌ふ ――
