少年の私が阪神タイガースのファンになったのは、私の親友が熱心な巨人ファンだったからだ。當時の日本人が好きな「巨人･大鵬･卵焼き」が死は大嫌ひだった（卵焼きは好きだったがそれを斷つほどに）。生まれついてのヘソ曲り、ツムジ曲がりであった。野球は好きではなかった。集團プレイは好きではないのである。
私が阪神ファンになったのは、負ければムキになってくる親友をからかってやるためのものであったが、しかし、からかはれるのは私のはうだった。巨人は強かった。阪神は弱かった。巨人はグヅ哲に率いられ九連覇の常勝の時代であった。それにしても阪神は弱かった。肝心なところで特に弱かった。そんな阪神が嫌ひだった。ぬるま湯に浸かったやうな、不甲斐ない、腑抜けな連中に思はれた。そんななかで唯一、村山實投手だけ氣に入った。彼が巨人相手に投げる時だけは熱中してテレビを見た。あの眞劍勝負ぶりがたまらなかった。
村山が引退し、親友とも別れて、いつしか阪神ファンもプロ野球も私から消えてゐた。それでもテレビを点けて偶々阪神巨人戰をやってゐれば觀戰することもあった。見てゐれば巨人憎しの阪神ファンとなる。阪神ファンといふよりアンチ巨人なのである。阪神タイガースの低迷は「ダメトラ」と云はれるほどに續いた。大阪のチイムのくせに大阪らしさのどこにもないチイムだった。どうしてこんな阪神を許すのか、甲子園の熱狂がフシギであった。
もうすっかり阪神から足を洗った頃に、この思ひもかけぬ春の椿事が起こった。私はテレビを見てゐなかった。ニュウスで知った。そして、にっくき巨人、それもエイスの槇原からクリンナップ三人の揃ひ踏み、それも甲子園のバックスクリンへの特大三連發、これをニュウスで見て、わが積年の怨念が一氣に晴れた。

時は今日、七回裏の甲子園、三連發のバックスクリン

かうして、一九八五年の四月十七日は私にとって忘れられない日になった。一生に何度もない、至福の一日となった。
そして、この年は阪神ファンには金字塔の黄金の年となった。この試合でまるで太古の睡りから覺めたやうにその後の阪神は打ちまくり、勝ちまくり、まさに騎虎の勢ひでこの年のペナントを掴み取り、そのうへ、日本シリイズにも勝って日本一となったのだ（名門阪神が長いプロ野球の歴史で日本一になったのはこの時だけ）。私は思ふ存分「阪神ファン」を濃密に味合った。これで阪神黄金時代が來るかと思ったら、次の年にはまったくのダメトラに戻ってしまった。

0667/0417（天智天皇06/0319：天智天皇、近江大津宮に遷都

｛大和から大津へ、その遷都の意圖が私には理解できなかった。抵抗勢力の多い飛鳥から脱出すると云っても、同じ人間が付いてくるのだ。それよりは、中大兄皇子の性格なら、敵の一掃のはうを試みるであらう。もっとも、孝徳天皇の時の彼の強引な手法は、孝徳天皇だけを殘して、難波宮を去り飛鳥に戻ったのであったが。

飛鳥から近江に遷都した中大兄皇子はこの宮で天皇卽位した（彼の時代、天皇といふ語があったかどうかは不明だが、彼には中國の隋唐を見習った國家構想があったであらう）。

中大兄皇子（彼はなかなか卽位しなかった）が近江に遷都する前の歴史 ――

0660、彼には生母となる37齊明059461天皇の六年の時、朝鮮半島の三國のうちの一つ、日本にもっとも親近してゐた百濟が新羅とそれを後援する唐とに攻略されて滅亡した。倭國はこれを見て、百濟の復興のために朝鮮出兵を實行した。國家あげて、遷都するやうな規模で九州筑紫に移動した。
その時の瀬戸内海での船旅で詠はれたのが、有名な額田王の「熟田津に船乘りせむと月待てば、潮もかなひぬ今は漕ぎいでな」他の『萬葉集』にある名歌群である。
だが、百濟再興のための朝鮮出兵は散々な結果に終った。しかも、その地で齊明天皇が崩御する。
白村江での海戰で慘敗、倭國軍は筑紫を捨てるやうにして元の大和に戻った。
大和飛鳥に戻った中大兄皇子は防御體制の整備を急ぐ。唐や新羅の侵攻を豫想し、筑紫の大宰府には水城を作らせ、九州から瀬戸内海を大和にいたる經路に朝鮮式の山城を築いて連絡網を作った。
それでも安心できなかったのだらうか、中大兄皇子は慌ただしく琵琶湖の近江の國への遷都を實行に移した。
この遷都の時、額田王063393が三輪山との惜別の歌、「三輪山をしかも隠すか雲だにも心あらなむ隠さふべしや」、別れを惜しみつつ去りゆく大和の國、それを象徴する三輪山、それを雲は隠すのだらうか、いや雲にも心があるだらう、隠すはずがない ―― この歌は或王が詠じた長歌「うまさけ、三輪の山、あをによし奈良の山の、山のまに、い隠るまで、道の隈、い積もるまでに、つぶらにも見つゝ行かむを、しばしばも見さけむ山を、心なく雲の隠さうべしや」にこたへたものであった。
だが、大津宮への遷都も成功とは云へなかった。近畿の中心地であり、交通の要衝といふ点での地の利を重視したのであらうが、飛鳥の地を懷かしむ人心は、よく都に火事を引き起こしたりして馴染まなかった。

遷都から四年後の0671、天智天皇が崩御すると、天智天皇の皇太子の大友皇子064872と天智天皇の嫌疑を受けて吉野に迯げてゐた同母弟の大海人皇子とのあひだに壬申の年の戰が始まり、大海人皇子が勝って天武天皇となって卽位し、宮處を飛鳥に戻すと大津の宮はにはかに廢都の有樣となってしまった。それを見た柿本朝臣人麻呂は「近江の海、夕波千鳥、汝が鳴けば、心もしのにいにしへ思ほゆ」「ささなみの志賀津の子らが罷り道の川瀬の道を見れば寂しも」「ささなみの志賀の辛崎、さきくあれど大宮人の船待ちかねつ」「ささなみの志賀の大曲よどむとも、昔の人にまたも逢はめやも」と悲歎を詠じた。
