：大阪町奉行の與力であった大鹽平八郎は門人と語らって江戸幕府にたいして決起した。在職中の彼は、同僚の汚職の類を嫌ひ、不正にたいして默ってはゐられない性格であった。組違ひの西町奉行與力の弓削新左衛門の汚職を内部告發して、その剛直さが市中で噂になった。腐敗堕落した奉行所内で大鹽は孤立したが、上司の東町奉行の高井實徳は彼を庇護した。
：1830文政13、高井の轉出とともに大鹽は與力職を養子の格之助に讓って引退した。彼はほゞ獨學で陽明學を學び、「知行合一」「致良知」「萬物一體之仁」の體得のために學問精進する日々に入った。自宅では、與力の時から私塾『洗心洞』で子弟を指導してゐた。
：天保といふ時代は全國的に飢饉が續いた。天保07秋には、米價の高騰などに甲斐國では「郡内騷動」が、三河國では「賀茂一揆」など暴動や一揆などが多發、奥羽では十萬の使者が出たといふ。これを見た大鹽は、暴動の激化で豫想される打ち壞しへの對策と稱して、門人に砲術などの軍事教練を始めた。彼のなかには一つの決意が形を成してゐた。
：大鹽は獻策をおこなったが受け入れられなかった。すると、大鹽は藏書の類を處分して救濟運動に供したが、それも燒石に水、彼はもはや武装蜂起によって事態轉覆をはかるほかなしと決意した。
：1937/0325(天保08/0219)、大鹽平八郎は門人ともに民衆を蜂起させるために立った。が、門人のなかには大阪町奉行に密告してゐて、大鹽の決起はその日のうちに鎭壓された。
｛この大鹽の事件を、『堺事件』を「歴史其儘」として取りあげた森鴎外186222は取りあげてゐる。

1923/0901の關東大震災の二日後、戒厳令下の東京では朝鮮人襲來の噂に自警團を組織した民間人の暴行事件などが多發するなか、治安維持法の「予防拘束」で檢擧された朝鮮人の朴烈は情人と金子文子とともに檢擧され、東京淀橋警察署に連行された。
：予審擔當した判事は、翌年1924/0215、二人を爆發物取締罰則違反で起訴した。司法当局は反體制運動を威壓するために、起訴容疑を「大逆罪」に切り替へた。
：1925/0502、朴烈は大逆罪で、文子は二日後に起訴された。
：同年/0729、予審中に朴烈と文子とがみだらな格好でゐる寫眞が政界や報道關係にばらまかれた。これは北一輝188337の指示で西田税190137が動いて、若槻禮次郎186649内閣の轉覆を意圖しておこなったものであった。世論は騷然となった。司法大臣は暴漢に汚物を投げつけられ、その後免官された。
