「アウグスチヌス」初期キリスト教の神學者。ラテン教父と呼ばれた当時の神學者の一人。
キリスト教がロウマ帝國に公認され、國教となった時期と活動の時期が重なり、キリスト教の正統思想の確立に貢獻した。
以後のキリスト教世界であるラテン語圏で多大の影響力を持った。
キリスト教各種において聖人として扱はれてゐる。

日本、平安時代中期の公家、歌人として名を殘す。また、050桓武山部073706天皇の玄孫である彼は歌物語『平中物語』の主人公に仕立てられ、「在中」の在原業平082580を主人公とした歌物語『伊勢物語』と並び称された。

は定文とも記される。桓武天皇の玄孫。右近衛中将・平好風の次男。官位は従五位上・左兵衛佐。中古三十六歌仙の一人。一般に平中
0874貞観16、父の好風とともに平姓を賜り、臣籍降下する。
当時の文化は和歌が中心で『古今和歌集』の勅撰が命じられた、紀貫之087045･壬生忠岑086020･凡河内躬恒085925らと交際し、歌合もみづからしばしば主宰した。歌集は傳はってないが、『古今集』に九首採用され、その後勅撰和歌集で合計二十六首が入集してゐる。

English king Æthelred II orders the killing of all Danes in England, known today as the St. Brice's Day massacre.

イングランド王エゼルレッド二世、国内に侵入したデン人全員の殺害を命令。
Æthelred ordered the massacre of all Danish men in England to take place on 13 November 1002, St Brice's Day. No order of this kind could be carried out in more than a third of England, where the Danes were too strong, but Gunhilde, sister of Sweyn Forkbeard, King of Denmark, was said to have been among the victims. It is likely that a wish to avenge her was a principal motive for Sweyn's invasion of western England the following year

1040、父ダンカンが従叔父のマクベスに殺されると、伯父のシュアドに連れられてイングランドへ逃れ、そこでサクソン風に育てられた。
1054、シュアドと共にスコットランドに戻り、スクンでマクベスと戰ひ、敗走させた。1057、ランファナンの戦でつひにマクベスを討ち取った。
王位がケネス三世の曾孫のルウラッハ（マクベスの継子）に移ると、これを討ち取り、マルカム三3世として即位した。

イングランドへはたびたび侵攻した。しかし、1071にはウィリアム一世に攻め込まれて敗北、イングランドへの臣従を誓ひ、長男のダンカンを人質に取られた。その後もイングランドへの侵攻を繰り返したが、五度目となるイングランド侵攻において戦死した。
その後、
弟のドナルド三世がサクソン方式に反発した貴族に擁立されてスコットランド王に即位したが、イングランドに残されていたダンカンがウィリアム二世の後押しでドナルドを廃位させて即位した。しかし、間もなく反対派に暗殺され、ドナルド三世が復位して王位継承は混乱していった。

中國、南宋の詩人･詞人。字「務觀」，號「放翁」，越州山陰（今浙江紹興）人。
後人每以陸遊為南宋詩人之冠。陸游自言「六十年間萬首詩」，是兩宋留詩作最多的詩人。

陸游，字務觀，宋越州山陰人，宣和七年生。年十二能詩文，廕補登仕郎。試禮部，置前列，為秦檜所嫉。檜死，除敕令所刪定官，遷大理寺司直。孝宗即位，遷樞密院編修官。賜進士出身，出通判建康府。言者論游鼓唱是非，力說張浚用兵，免歸。久之，通判夔州。王炎宣撫川、陝，辟為幹辦公事。范成大帥蜀，游為參議官，以文字交，不徇禮法，人譏其頹放，因自號放翁。累遷江西常平提舉，奏撥義倉振濟。起知嚴州。紹熙元年，遷禮部郎中，權同修國史、實錄院，書成，陞寶章閣待制，致仕。游才氣超逸，尤長於詩。嘉定二年卒，年八十五。 Wikipedia

彼はアサ王伝説の「円卓の騎士」に憧れ、1348年にガタ騎士団を創設した。また、イングランド王の紋章にフランス王の象徴である百合の花（フルルドリス）を加へた。

徳川時代初期の怪物的政僧。徳川家康154316の耳近くで、幕府の外交、主に朝廷や宗教についての政策に深く關與した。
だが、その氏素性は不明で、本人もさうあることを望んだ。ために、彼の氏素性については種々樣々な説が物語的に立てられた。室町幕府將軍の落胤だとか、敗死したはずの明智光秀152882だとか、
以上のやうに生年は定かではないが物去の時には百歳以上であったことはまちがひないといふ話。おそらく、狐狸畜生の化生の者であったにちがひない。

1713/1113(正徳03/0926)：荻原重秀165813、死去

江戸幕府の旗本。元禄時代、家綱･綱吉･家宣の三代にわたり勘定奉行を務め、貨幣改鋳などの經濟再建に尽力した。
後世の彼の惡名はもっぱら新井白石16572の主張による、といふことらしい。

人形淨璢璃『心中天網島』を近松に作らせた心中事件が發生

近松門左衛門165325の世話物名作『心中天網島』は1720享保五年十二月六日、大阪の竹本座で初演されたが、この人形淨璢璃の筋立ては同じ年にあった心中事件をタネにしてゐる。
近松はこの心中事件の話を住吉の料亭で聞き、早籠で大阪へ戻る途中「走り書き、謠の本は近衛流、野郎帽子は紫の」と書き出しの文章を捻り練ってゐたといふ。

The demonstration was organised by the Social Democratic Federation and the Irish National League. Violent clashes took place between the police and demonstrators, many "armed with iron bars, knives, pokers and gas pipes". A contemporary report noted that 400 were arrested and 75 persons were badly injured, including many police, two policemen being stabbed and one protester bayonetted.

｛生歿同日。ちょうど七十歳。これよりもっと見事な生歿同日の例がある。還暦ちょうどの六十歳で生歿した人がゐる。勿論、歴史上に殘る業績の人だ。いづれこの後の數十日のあひだで出てくるはずだ。
