Saint Adrian or Adrian of Nicomedia was a Herculian Guard of the Roman Emperor Galerius Maximian. After becoming a convert to Christianity with his wife Natalia, Adrian was martyred at Nicomedia.

平氏の棟梁、平清盛111881、太政大臣に就任する

清盛略傳
：1118/0210(永久06/0118)、伊勢平氏棟梁の平忠盛109653の嫡男として誕生。生母は不明だが、072白河天皇に仕へた忠盛に下賜された女房である可能性が高い（そこから白河落胤説が出てくる）。『平家物語』は生母を白河寵姫の祇園女御としてゐるが、女御に仕へた中臈や、女御の妹とし女御が猶子にしたとするなど諸説紛々。清盛の出世に祇園女御の後押しがあったのは或程度推測できる。

：1129(大知04)正月、十二歳で從五位下･左兵衛佐で叙任。この扱ひに中御門宗忠は驚愕してゐる。三月には石清水臨時祭の舞人に選ばれたが、清盛の馬の口取りを祇園女御の養子とされる内大臣の源有仁の随身が勤めてゐた事實から、女御の庇護のもとで育てられたらしい。後年、清盛が太政大臣に任じられたのも、この出自が公式ではないが通用してゐたおかげかも知れない。

：若い頃は、074鳥羽宗仁110356法皇第一の寵臣、藤原家成110754（清盛には繼母となる池禪尼の從兄弟）のもとに出入りした。
：高階基章の娘とのあひだに平重盛113879･基盛113962が嫡男次男として生まれた。

：1147(久安03)、継室に迎へた平時子112685に宗盛114785が生まれる。時に清盛三十、時子二十二。この年の六月十五日、清盛は祇園社に赴くが、そこで郎黨の武具を見咎めた神人と小競り合ひが始まり、郎黨が放った矢が寶殿に突き刺さった。これが大事件となり、その本社たる延暦寺は忠盛清盛の配流を求めて強訴、鳥羽法皇は清盛の罪を贖銅三十斤という罰金刑に納めた。が、出世街道に躓いた清盛の對抗馬にめきめき頭角を顯はしてきたのが、忠盛正室である藤原宗子（池禪尼）が生んだ平家盛112349であった（清盛には五歳年下）。が、清盛には幸運にも、家盛は急病死して、ささやかれてゐた平氏分裂の可能性も小さくなり、清盛の地位は盤石となった。
：安藝守に任じられると瀬戸内海の制海権による莫大な利益が入り、平氏は最後へとその勢力を擴大していった。この頃から清盛の宮島の嚴島神社を信仰するやうになった。

：1167(仁安02/0211)の從一位･太政大臣まで後十四年間、清盛の絶頂期にあたるが、｛どうせ誰も讀んじゃゐないだらうし、清盛にも關心がないから、ここらで中斷。

1184/0304：日本源平時代の將軍 源義仲115484、敗死

Minamoto no Yoshinaka (Kiso no Yoshinaka 木曾義仲), was a general of the late Heian period of Japanese history.
A member of the Minamoto clan 源氏, Minamoto no Yoritomo 源頼朝114799 was his cousin and rival during the Genpei War 源平合戰 between the Minamoto and the Taira clans.

以仁王115180 の「平家打倒」の令旨により北國にあって挙兵、都から逃れ來た以仁王の遺児を北陸宮として擁護し、押し寄せてきた平氏の大軍を倶利伽羅峠で撃退し、その勢ひを驅って都に攻め入り、旭將軍と讚へられた。が、
山家育ちの田舍者、京風に馴染めず、また、連年の飢饉と荒廃した都の治安回復を期待されたが、治安の回復の遅れと彼の大軍が都に居座ったことによる種々の弊害などあって評判を落とし、後白河法皇とも不和となる。
法住寺合戦に及んで法皇と後鳥羽天皇を幽閉して征東大将軍となるが、源頼朝の派遣した範頼＆義経の軍と衝突、粟津の戦闘で敗死。享年三十一。

一休宗純139481 略傳
：100後小松幹仁137733天皇の落胤說が有力視。『一休和尚年譜』では、生母は藤原氏、南朝の公家の血筋で、後小松の寵愛を受けたが、その命を狙ってゐると噂が立ち、宮中を追はれてから一休を出産した、と。
：幼名は後世史料によれば「千菊丸」、長じて「周建」と呼ばれ、みづからは「狂雲子」「瞎驢」「夢閨」などと號した。戒名は「宗純（宗順とも）」。「一休」は道號。
：六歳、京都安國寺の像外集鑑に入門、受戒。周建と名を與へられる。幼くして詩才を發揮、十三歳の作詩『長門春草』、十五際の時の漢詩『春衣宿花』は洛中の噂を取った。
：1410(應永17)、謙翁宗為に入門、戒名を宗純と改める。四年後、謙翁は物故、この頃に宗純は自殺を試みてゐる。
：1415(應永22)、京都大徳寺の華叟宗曇に入門。公案『洞山三頓の棒』に「有漏路より無漏路へ歸る一休み雨降らば降れ風吹かば吹け」と答へ、華叟より「一休」の道號を授けられた。
：1420(應永27)、或夜、鴉の聲を聞いて頓悟する。華叟は印可狀をあたへようとしたが一休は辭退。師は「莫迦者が」と破顔大笑しながら、一休を送りだした。以後、洛中を狂歌を作り書畫を描きながらの瘋狂の自活を始めた。
：1428(正長01)、100後小松幹仁137733の讓位を受けて卽位した101稱光實仁140128天皇が崩御、男子なく、伏見宮家より102後花園彦仁141971が迎へられ卽位したが、その時一休の關與があったといふ。
：1474(文明06)、土御門天皇の勅命により大徳寺の住持に就任。だが大徳寺には住まなかった。が、大徳寺の再興には盡力、塔頭の眞珠庵は一休創建とする。妙勝寺を再興し、酬恩庵を結び（後に一休寺とも呼ばれるやうになる）。宮中から市中までの京の名物僧となった。
：1481(文明13)、酬恩庵で物故。流行病、マラニア感染のためとされる。享年八十八。
臨終最後の言葉は「死にとうもない」だったとか。墓は酬恩庵にあり慈揚塔と呼ばれてゐるが、宮内省が御廟所として管理する陵墓。

Shimazu Yoshihiro 島津義弘153519 and Shimazu Toshihisa 島津歳久153792 are his brothers.
島津氏第十六代。島津氏の家督を継ぎ、薩摩大隅日向を制圧。その後も耳川戦で、九州最大の戦国大名、豊後国の大友氏に大勝し、沖田畷戦では九州西部、肥前国の龍造寺氏を撃破した。
義久は優秀な弟三人（義弘・歳久・家久）とともに、強な家臣団を統率し九州統一をめざした。が、豊臣秀吉153798の九州征伐に降伏、本領である薩摩大隅二ヶ國と日向諸県郡を安堵された。

Keichū est un prêtre bouddhiste et un lettré de Kokugaku du milieu de l'époque d'Edo.
Le grand-père de Keichū est un obligé personnel de Katō Kiyomasa mais son père est un rōnin du domaine d'Amagasaki.
À l'âge de 13 ans, Keichū quitte sa famille pour entrer dans la secte Shingon, étudiant à Kaijō, Myōhō-ji, à Imasato Osaka.

Jean-François Champollion dit Champollion le Jeune,  est un égyptologue français. Il fut le premier à déchiffrer les hiéroglyphes, il est considéré comme le père de l'égyptologie.
Il disait de lui-même : « Je suis tout à l'Égypte, elle est tout pour moi ».

少年時代から語学的才能に秀で、九歳でラテン語を話したという。以後、高等学校で、中国語を含む多くの古代語を学んだ。18歳の時には、出回っていたロゼッタストンの写しの一部を手に入れた。二十歳までにラテン語、ギリシア語、ヘブライ語、アムハラ語、サンスクリット語、アヴェスタ語、パフラヴィー語、アラビア語、シリア語、ペルシア語、中国語などを習得。コプト語などの東洋語にも関心を持ち、発見されたばかりのロゼッタストンをイゼル県知事だった数学者のJ.フウリエに見せてもらって、そこに刻まれた文字（ヒエログリフ）の解読に熱中した。その解讀の結果を1822年、パリ学士院で発表した。
1824年から1826年までイタリアに滞在。トリノ・エジプト博物館から古代エジプトのパピルスと芸術品を相当数提供してもらったことにより、精力的に研究活動に取り組む。1824年『ヒエログリフの体系概説』発表。
1828年と1830年、長年の夢であったエジプトへの調査旅行を実現。その後、パリに戻ってコレージュドフランスの古代エジプト学の教授となった。が、1832/0304、コレラに冒されパリで死去。

Egawa Hidetatsu Tarōzaemon (江川英龍太郎左衛門) was a Japanese Bakufu intendant of the 19th century. He was Daikan, in charge of the domains of the Tokugawa shogunate in Izu, Sagami 相模 and Kai 甲斐 Provinces during the Bakumatsu 幕末 period .
He took a leading role in the reinforcement of Japanese coastal defenses against Western encroachments in the 19th century.

Egawa was involved in an important debate at that time, whether to adopt Western guns and methods or not. He advocated that the English had shown great superiority over the Chinese in the 1840 Opium War, and that it was necessary to use their own techniques to repel them.
Sakuma Shōzan 佐久間象山181164 was a student of a school founded by Egawa Hidetatsu.
A theoretical synthesis of "Western knowledge" and "Eastern morality" would later be accomplished by Sakuma Shōzan and Yokoi Shōnan 横井小楠180969, in view of "controlling the barbarians with their own methods".[16]
At one point Egawa hired the services of Nakahama Manjirō ジョン萬次郎182798, a Japanese castaway who had spent 10 years in the West before returning to Japan, in order to obtain better knowledge of the West.

1852年11月、東インド艦隊司令長官に就任。日本の開国へ向けて大統領の親書を手渡すために日本へ向かった。
1853年7月8日（嘉永6年6月3日）、浦賀に入港した。7月14日（6月9日）、幕府側が指定した久里浜に護衛を引き連れ上陸、戸田氏栄と井戸弘道に大統領の親書を手渡した。この時は具体的な協議はおこなはず。開国の要求をしたのみで、幕府から翌年までの猶予といふ返答おもらひ、日本を離れた。

The ballet Swan Lake by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky premiered at the Moscow Bolshoi Theater.
Since the Bolshoi ballet at this time is not yet the level to dance the piece, the difficult parts are replaced by simpler pieces of music and the ballet falls through the audience.

After Korea regained its independence, Hong's family became the target of blame and ostracism by various factions in Korea. He and his mother, Hong's widow, later emigrated to the United States.

寶塚歌劇、戦時下により休演、最後の公演の日

Wikipedia jp の記事をなぞるやうにして書き變へていけば、
戰爭一色となっていった日本で、洋式ハイカラの權化のやうな寶塚演劇は次第に片身が狹くなり、社界の空氣に逆らひがたく、上演作品は戰爭讚歌のやうなものが増えていった。
1938には星組を廢止、1940(昭和15)には『第日本國防婦人會寶塚少女歌劇團分會』が設立、生徒全員が加入させられた。この年、敵性語のタイトルがなくなり、以後はほゞすべての上演が軍國主義的な演目となっていった。太平洋戦争中は、歌劇團は全國各地を慰安公演を勤め、また、女子挺身隊として軍需工場や軍病院などへの慰問に動員された。
1944/0303の最終公演の演目は『翼の決戰』であった。タカラヅカらしからぬ内容であったが、ファンは殺到して寶塚大橋を越えて寶塚南口近くまで長蛇の列を作った。

1943年3月『翼の決戦』

私は、オペラ系の演劇が好きでない。といふよりはっきりと大嫌ひだ。太った男と女の聲張りあげた悲戀の物語などとても聽いてゐる氣にならない。少女たちのママゴトのやうな演藝會などとうていガマンができない。
で、ありながら私が寶塚少女歌劇に興味を持たなければならなくなったのは、よんどころない理由があってのことだった。
ちょうどこの時期の寶塚に在籍してゐた一人の少女のゆゑに
その人は、新珠三千代193001であった。1930年に生まれた彼女は、日中戰爭に日米戦争が始まる1940年から日本の敗戦から敗戰後の混亂時代が、ちょうど彼女の十代と重なってしまった。あまりにも不幸な巡りあはせであった。この十代を、その前半を寶塚の音樂舞踊學校で過ごし、後半を細々と再開した寶塚の花形歌姫となった。そして、寶塚を早々に引退して映画界に入った。
しかし、新珠三千代その人にファン的な興味を抱いたわけではなかった。
映画女優としての彼女さへ私は彼女を意識してみたことはなかった。
無論、彼女の名前とその容姿については識ってゐた。しかし、識った映画がよくなかった。それは黒澤明などの映画に突き合はせの『社長シリイズ』の藝者などの役であった。
しかし、その名と容姿とは少年の脳裏に刻まれてゐた。
私が彼女に興味を持った理由はその名、新珠三千代＝アラタマミチヨといふ藝名のはうであった。

日本史への歴史の旅人を意識して、大和の國は飛鳥の地にやってきた私は、記紀や『萬葉集』『懷風藻』などを道案内に古代日本の現地を歩きまはった。歩きまはっては、それをもっとも鮮烈に記憶せんがために Art of Heart ＝創作といふ方法で自分の現場體驗を記録していった。
その創作のために私が採用した主人公は大津皇子066386とその同母姉の大來皇女066101であった。彼等の悲劇的生涯を『かなしむちから』と題して、『悲別』『悲憤』『悲傷』の三部仕立てで物語るといふ構想であった。
その第三部となる『悲傷』で、私は持統天皇064502の年代を扱ふことになったのだが、その登場人物のうち、造形していくにつれ、豫想以上に藤原不比等065920の存在、それ以上に彼の愛人となりやがては夫人となった橘三千代066533の存在が大きくなり、最後に近づくにつれて主役のやうになっていった。
さうなっていく彼女の造形のために私は彼女を演じさせるとしたら誰がいいだらうと私が識ってゐる女優をキャスティングすることにして、するまでもなく新珠三千代となってしまったのであった。三千代といふ名のせゐであったし、無論、その日本的な容姿は、マクベス夫人を重ねた橘三千代を造形した（稀代の惡女は稀代の美女でなければなるまい）。
そして、その頃の私の直感は冴え渡ってゐた。

橘三千代に配役した後で新珠三千代の履歴をかるく調べて、私は驚愕する事實に出會したのであった。
彼女はなんと奈良市に生まれ育ってゐたのだ。それも興福寺すぐ近く、奈良市の中心となる地で。
云ふまでもなく、奈良市＝平城京は藤原不比等とその夫人の橘三千代が作った都であった。
私には少女の彼女が新珠三千代といふ藝名を作りだすまでに橘三千代の靈が働いてゐたやうにすら思はれてきた。
私は橘三千代に扮した新珠三千代とともに春日野の太古の森を散策しつつ、平城京のモノ語りを『阿修羅の時代』と題して作りだしてゐた。
