Roman emperor Diocletian orders the destruction of the Christian church in Nicomedia, beginning eight years of Diocletianic Persecution.
In 303, the Emperors Diocletian, Maximian, Galerius, and Constantius issued a series of edicts rescinding the legal rights of Christians and demanding that they comply with traditional Roman religious practices. Later edicts targeted the clergy and ordered all inhabitants to sacrifice to the Roman gods (a policy known as universal sacrifice). The persecution varied in intensity across the empire—weakest in Gaul and Britain, where only the first edict was applied, and strongest in the Eastern provinces. Persecutory laws were nullified by different emperors at different times, but Constantine and Licinius's Edict of Milan (0313) has traditionally marked the end of the persecution.

James FitzMaurice FitzGerald (died 18 August 1579) was a member of the 16th century ruling Geraldine dynasty in the province of Munster in Ireland. He rebelled against the crown authority of Queen Elizabeth I of England in response to the onset of the Tudor conquest of Ireland. He led the first of the Desmond Rebellions in 1569, spent a period in exile in continental Europe, but returned with an invasion force in 1579. He died shortly after landing. ：この時代、東南アジアには多くの日本人が進出し、各地に日本人町が形成されるやうになってゐた。アンボイナ島にも日本人が居住し、傭兵などとなってゐる者もあった。
：同日の夜、イギリス側の傭兵であった日本人の七藏が、オランダの衛兵に城壁の構造や兵員の數などについてしつこく尋ねてゐた。これを不審に思ったオランダ當局は、七藏を拘束、拷問にかけると、イギリスが砦の占領を計画してゐることを白状した。オランダ當局はただちにイギリス商務官を攻め、館長以下三十餘名を捕縛、彼等を火攻め水攻め、四肢切断などの拷問を加へ、陰謀の事實を認めさせた。
：0309、オランダ當局は、館長のGタワソンをはじめとするイギリス人十名、日本人九名、ポルトガル人一名を斬首。イギリス勢力を一掃した。
：この事件はイギリス本國にただちに傳へられ、折から両国間で進められてゐた東インド會社の合併交渉は決裂、つひには外交問題へと發展していった。
：事件解決はじつに三十一年後の1654、オランダ政府が85000ポンドの賠償金を支拂ふことで決着。
：オランダは、金と同量交換と云はれるほど歸朝だった香料の專賣權を獲得したが、その値段は次第に、急激に下がり、それはオランダの地位低下を象徴してゐた。
一方、東南アジアを追ひだされインドに集注したイギリスは良質な綿製品によって繁榮していった。歴史の皮肉がこゝでも演じられたといふわけだ。

Alamo とはスペイン語で「ポプラ」の意味。
Fort Alamo ＝ The Alamo：元來は、地元のインディアンをキリスト教へ改宗させるための教育設備として、十八世紀にスペイン帝國が建設した。傳道所の役割が放棄された後は一轉して軍事要塞として使用され、テキサス獨立戰爭におけるテキサス共和國とメキシコ軍の爭奪地点として、1836のアラモ砦の戰をはじめ、いくつかの軍爭の場となった。
｛私はこの出来事を John Wayneが監督主演した映画`Alamo`で識った。その前にこの映画の主題歌である、Dティオムキンが作曲した The Green Leaves of Summer の、Brothers Four による大ヒットで、この映画のことを識ったはずだ。映画の出來はあんまり評價は高くないらしいが、私は氣に入った。今でも氣に入ってゐる。

フルカラアのワイドスクリンの八〇ミリ、それがまだ客呼び込みの惹句であった頃で、その廣大な大畫面に、この映画の主人公たち、ウェインが演じるデイビクロケット、Rウイドマアクのボウイイ大佐、Lハアベイのトラビス大佐を始めとするアラモ砦に集まったアメリカ人たちに、StraightでStrong な Yankee Spirit を體現したよきアメリカ人を經驗したのであった。彼等の勇氣と獻身は人間のサイズを一囘り越えて見えた。日本のサムラヒよりも素晴らしい男性を思はせるほどに。しかし、この善きアメリカ人の思ひ込みはアメリカ人が一九六〇年代に犯したヴェトナム戰爭で自壞的に壞れていった。その挫折とともに、映画に東上するアメリカ人はスモウルになっていって、一方においては人間性を逸脱した超人と化し、幼稚な英雄像へと退化して、映画は悲劇から喜劇的なものとなり、はてはスペクタクル一邊倒となり、私はアメリカ映画を見なくなった。

ein deutscher Philosoph.Er gilt auch als „der Philosoph des Unbewussten“. Von Hartmann versuchte in seinem Werk Philosophie des Unbewussten zwei verschiedene Denkweisen (Rationalismus und Irrationalismus) zusammenzuführen, indem er die zentrale Rolle des Unbewussten betonte.
Sein Werk hatte Einfluss auf Tiefenpsychologen wie Sigmund Freud und Carl Gustav Jung
1864年から書きためてゐた思索を、1869年に『無意識の哲学』と題して出版。
彼は、Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel 177031 から形而上学的理念を、Arthur Schopenhaue 178860 から盲目的意志をとって総合し、自身の哲学の立場を「無意識者」として掲げた。
彼によれば、Hegel哲学の大きな錯誤は、非論理的なものを論理的なものの対、つまり論理的なものを理解する構成要素として、論理的なものと同等のものとして解釈してゐるところである。それに対し、ショペンハウアは表象をたんに「脳裏の所産」と意志とし、世界の本質を個々の表象の現れとして見なしていた。
ハルトマンによると無意識とは、意志と表象、実在と理念、非論理と論理などとともにあると同時に、世界の過程という二つの特徴のものの理念的的な対立の結果であり、これは論理的なもの(表象)を通じ、非論理的なもの(意志)によって克服することによって帰結するものである。

His seductive female nudes are a prime example of popular Symbolist content. Stuck paid much attention to the frames for his paintings and generally designed them himself with such careful use of panels, gilt carving and inscriptions that the frames must be considered as an integral part of the overall piece.

中国人。梁啟超，字「卓如」「任甫」「號任公」「別號飲冰室主人」，廣東省新會縣潮居都茶坑鄉人，人稱「梁新會」，清朝末年、民國初年的中國近代思想家、政治家、教育家、史學家、文學家、社會活動家、書法家及發明家。15歳、広東屈指の書院であった学海堂で学び、戴震・段玉裁・王念孫などの訓詁・名物・制度についての考証学を修めた。極めて成績優秀であり、17歳で広東郷試に合格し挙人となった。なおその成績から将来を嘱望された為、この時の試験官の李端棻の従妹と望まれて婚約もしている。

18歳、康有為が広東省南海に追放されてくると、友人の陳千秋とともに面会を求めて大いに共鳴し、康有為にすすめて万木草堂という学校を開かせた。数ヶ月、万木草堂で『公羊伝』『資治通鑑』などを学んだが、一種の共産的理想社会の建設を説く康有為の大同思想の教えを聞かされ驚喜し、学海堂にもどって宣伝し長老や仲間との論戦に明け暮れた。梁啓超は康有為と出会って以後、その片腕として活動していくことになる。しばしば北京に遊学する間に譚嗣同と知り合い、大同思想や王夫之の学問について意見を交換した。

説經強盗＝犯人＝妻木松吉190189、本職は左官、説經強盗犯（犯行後、立ち去り際に防犯注意をした）で逮捕、出所後は前歴を生かして防犯講師となった｛うまい生き方だな。↓
：出生地は、山梨県甲府市の甲府監獄｛といきなり意表を衝く。おもしさうな展開が予感される。
：といふのも、生母が妊娠晩期で窃盗罪で捕まり、懲役三ヶ月の實刑を食らひ、監獄内で出産した。私生兒であった。
：松吉誕生の直後、實父は肺炎で死亡。母は乳呑兒とともに市川大門町の河川敷の生家に戻り、以後は飴の行商で生計を立てた。
：1907、母が再婚。生活は極貧、1913、小學校を出ると奉公に出され、奉公先を轉々とし、盗癖を憶えた。
：1920、詐欺窃盗横領罪で八ヶ月の實刑を受け、生まれ故郷の甲府監獄で最初の服役。
：翌年、出所。上京し、埼玉縣で仲仕となる。その後、徴兵檢査で一時歸郷、再び狀況、今度は左官職人宅に見習ひとなって住み込み、こゝでは珍しく一年の見習ひを勉めた後、獨立して左官の雇われとなった。
：1925、結婚。西巣鴨に宅を持った。この頃は關東大震災の復興景氣も過ぎ、仕事が減り、病氣も重なり、窮乏するやうになった。
：翌年、借金生活も金策の先もなくなり、0730二軒の家に侵入。最初は失敗だったが、以後強盗を繰り返す。
：1927、0505に侵入した家で、住人に「戸締まりのあまさ」や「番犬を買へ」とアドヴァイスして立ち去ったことから、東京朝日の記者は「説經強盗」と命名して記事を書き、それがその後の彼の犯罪の代名詞になった。
：迂闊にも警視庁はこの事件を認識しておらず、この記事に觸發されるかたちで「説經強盗」逮捕に向けた會議を1005に開いた。十一月には、松吉は雑司ヶ谷に移居してゐた。
：翌年にも、夏から秋にかけて説經強盗は神出鬼沒に犯罪を重ねた。この頃には模倣犯も出てきた。八月には松吉は巣鴨に居を移した。
：1929/0110、警視庁は前年までに59件もつづけられた説經強盗事件について再び「大評定」を開き、特別捜査本部を設置。
同年/0119、朝日新聞は説經強盗を掴まへた者に千円の懸賞金を懸けた。同月の末にも警視庁は大捜査をおこなったが空振りに終った。/0202、東京市民は業を煮やし、在郷軍人會や青年團が中心となって自警團を結成。04には帝國議會で『帝都治安維持に關する決議案』が提出された。
：同年]0206、模倣犯の一人が銀座松屋前で逮捕された。彼は文筆家の三宅やす子や小説家の宇野千代の家など、合計七件の強盗を演じてゐた。
：0216、警視庁は最調査の結果、1926夏の犯行も同じ説經強盗であることにやうやく氣付き、現場に殘された指紋から妻木松吉を探りあてた。逮捕は、0223の18:50、松吉の自宅であった。松吉は「御手數かけてすみません」と神妙な態度であった。この逮捕までに動員された警察官は延べ一万二千人。朝日新聞の懸賞金はこの警官たちの面々に贈呈された。

：出所後は担当弁護士の家に同居させてもらったが、説經強盗のハクで全國の警察や宗教團體、社界事業團體などから防犯講演を依頼され、全國各地を囘った。その後も担当弁護士で保護司の家に寄宿しながら、服役中に習得した印刷業で収入を得られるやうになった。が、恩人が死亡するとその家を出て、後には生活保護を受けた。晩年は新宿区の世話で特別養護老人ホウムに入所。1989/0129、東京都西八王寺病院で逝去。
｛妻木松吉の犯罪は強盗だけで、強姦や致傷などがなく、それが彼を「義賊」に見せた。が、彼には生まれついての虚言癖があり、彼の犯罪の内容については彼自身の證言、および警視庁の調書はそのまゝ信用するわけにはいくまい。
｛まことに以て、何と評したらいいのか、或種、物の見事な生き樣のやうにも思はれてきて、つひつひ、その一生の軌跡を辿ってしまった。しかし、彼に文筆の技術と才能がなかったのがいかにも惜しまれる。自傳を書けばベストセラアは間違ひなかっただらう。そしたら、得意のお喋りで講演家となればよかったのだ。NameValue を生かしきれず、惜しいことであった。

とは云っても竹槍を用ゐた犯罪事件ではない。この日の日付で『毎日新聞』がその第一面に掲載した「戰局解説記事」から火が点いた言論彈壓事件である。↓
：問題とされた記事の大見出しは『勝利か滅亡か 戰局は茲まで來た』で、「眦（マナヂリと讀みます）決して見よ 敵の鋏狀進冦」と中見出しを置いて、南方における防衛線の狀況を解説、續けて「竹槍では間に合はぬ。飛行機だ、海洋航空機だ」と書きつけた。この記事は海軍を喜ばせたが、時の首相の東條英機188448は陸相も兼ねてゐて、怒り心頭に發し、ヤカン頭はカンカン沸騰し、大本營報道部長に命じ、即時に毎日新聞の掲載紙を發禁および編集責任者と執筆記者の處分を求めた。毎日新聞社は編集責任者は處分したが、執筆記者の處分はおこなはなかった。すると、その後、その三十七歳の執筆記者のもとに赤紙が舞ひこんだ。
：すでにこの頃には太平洋戰爭の成行は日本には退勢になってゐた。非常の時局に、東條は國務と統帥の合致が必要と考へ、首相と陸相と参謀總長を自分の一身に集めたいと考へた。しかも、根は氣の小さい彼は自分への批判を「國賊敵行動」と觀じ、「陛下の御信任によって首相の任にある者に對する批判や中傷はすなはち陛下に對する中傷」と虎の威を被って、言論統制にはげみ、意に染まない者は懲罰召集して激戰の第一線へ送りこんだ。この頃、戰時中の最大の言論彈壓となった横濱事件も東条は引き起こしてゐる。
：おそらく、東條は「竹槍」といふ語に瞬間沸騰したのであらう。といふのも、東條が出した『非常時宣言』の「本土決戰」のところで「一億玉碎」の覺悟を國民に訴へ、銃後の婦女子の心掛けを育む意味でも「竹槍」訓練をおこなはせた。しかも、運の惡いことには、この問題記事と同じ一面には、この東條の『非常時宣言』があり、まさに露骨に「竹槍」で批判した形となった。
｛この筆禍事件も、その顛末は硫黄島の玉碎と悲しく關係してくる。
この記事を書いた記者、新名丈夫190681は当時三十七歳で、彼が徴兵檢査を受けたのは大正時代で、彼の世代が召集された例はなかった。そのため、東條の仕打ちを海軍（新名は海軍寄りであった）は「對照の兵隊をたった一人取るのはどういふわけか」と陸軍にケチを付けた。すると、陸軍は新名と同世代で大正時代に徴兵檢査を受けた人間を二百五十人急遽召集し、歩兵第十二連帶に入營させた。この三十代後半の老兵は全員、硫黄島に送られ、そこで全員玉碎の戰死の悲運となった。新名自身は海軍に守られたかたちでこの悲運からは逃れられた。

｛私がこの記事に目を引きつけられたのは、硫黄島に行方不明の戰死者となった藤井春洋190745、折口信夫188753の養子となった彼もちょうどそのくらゐの年代ではなかったかと思ひだされ、もしやこの時のとばっちりで召集され、硫黄島に玉碎させられたのかと胸騷ぎ立つ思ひとなった。
急いで調べてみると、さうではなかった。春洋の二度目の召集令状が舞ひ込んだのは1943年の事であった。そして、1944/07に硫黄島に中尉として着任したのであった。
それにしても、歴史は思ひもせぬかたちで關係してゐるものだ。重々無盡

この報道寫眞中でもっとも有名な寫眞をめぐる「眞相」は、Clint Eastwood が 2006に制作した『Flags of Our Fathers：父親たちの星条旗』（日本では大評判になった『Letters from Iwo Jima：硫黄島からの手紙』と對にして作られた）で映画の主題として取り上げれて、みごとに歴史物語化して描いてみせた。私はアメリカ側の戰爭體驗をその内部から見た思ひになった。また、この、太平洋戰爭をアメリカ側からと日本側からと視点を分けて、兩部仕立ての對にして作ったところにも私は感心した。
偶然、激戰終結した硫黄島に、アメリカ國旗を山上に立てることになった兵士たち、その姿を撮した寫眞が全米を狂喜させ、彼等はアメリカの英雄となり、そのために戦争遂行のための軍の催事に利用されることなる。そして、それが彼等を悲劇へと導いていく ……
この映画は同名のノンフィクションを原作にしてゐるらしいが、どこまで史實であるのか、史實にしてはあまりにも劇的すぎると思ひつゝ、いつしか共感し同情し、感動していく自分がゐる。歴史と物語が混然一體として、結局、人はかうした形でしか歴史を自分のうちに血肉化できないのであらう。
私は『アラモ』の時のやうに、この映画でアメリカ人についての内なる經驗をしたやうにも思ふ。アメリカ人の變化も。かつては英雄的だったアメリカ人が、自分とほゞ同じサイズの人間として見えてきた。アメリカといふ社界も同樣に。

ハワイのホノルル、カカアコの高層マンションの一室でボヤ騷動があった。火は驅けつけた消防團によって消化された。が、その部屋のクロゼットから、当時五十六歳の日本の占ひ師、藤田少女姫の射殺された遺體が發見された。藤田小女姫（小乙姫）kototome193894、九歳の時に「ハワイの狐が憑いて」以來、靈感少女として新聞にも大々的に取りあげられ、サンケイ新聞はそのビルのなかに彼女に一室をあたへて可愛がった。その評判は高く、雜誌やテレビが取りあげ、岸信介189687に福田赳夫190595らの総理經驗者から經營の神樣と呼ばれた松下幸之助189489、黒幕政商小佐野賢治191786 なども彼女の靈感を信じた。
が、1968、思はぬ落とし穴が彼女を待ち伏せてゐることに彼女は豫感できなかった。彼女が名目上の經營者となってゐたサウナが火事となり、死者を出した。これを予感できなかったのをマスコミはあげつらひ、それが批判の炎上となり、彼女の評價は一氣に凋落、多くの信者が去っていった。
そして、おそらく、自分が殺されることも彼女は豫知できなかった。ま、自分自身についてはどうしても主觀が邪魔をして判斷を曇らせ誤らせることが多いから、とわが易學の先人も注意してゐるほどだから、彼女の場合も致し方ないのかも知れないが（別に同情してゐるわけではなく、皮肉で云ってます。
：だが、慘劇は彼女を襲っただけではなかった。殺人現場となったマンションから數キロ離れたホテルの駐車場で一台の車が炎上してゐるが發見され、その車内にはハワイ大学の學生だった小女姫の一人息子(20)が燒死してゐた。燒死體は手足をテイプで縛られ胸を撃たれたので、燒死以前に死亡してのかも知れない。
：容疑者として、藤田息子のスキュバダイビングの仲間で銃器不法所持の前歴があった日本人男性(28)が浮上してきた。その後の捜査で、彼のアパアトから犯行のものと同じ彈丸が發見され、さらに、その部屋のソファから息子のDNAと一致する血痕が發見された。また、この男は藤田が所有してゐた貴金屬類を質屋に持ち込んでゐた。これらのことにより犯人と斷定、國際刑事警察機構を通じて日本の警視庁に身柄確保が要請された。
：被疑者は事件の二日後に日本に歸國してゐた。0304に神奈川県警に出頭、無實を主張した。が、0403、アメリカで起訴、0511、法務省に日米犯罪人引き渡し条約による正式の要求があり、被疑者はハワイに送還された。
：裁判では、被疑者は遺體の搬送を手傳っただけで、殺人には關與してないと主張した。が、ホノルル市警による血痕のDNA鑑定に基づきすでに起訴されてゐて、0823、藤田親子の殺人實行犯として第二級殺人罪で終身刑が宣告され、結審した。ハワイ州には死刑制度がないので、終身刑が最高刑であった。
｛小女姫が生前記してゐたノウトがいまだに發見されてゐないのが、この事件の謎を陰謀論的なものに仕立てて、好事家の食指を誘ってゐる。もしも、彼等が想像妄想するやうに、このノウトに記されてゐたかも知れない「政財界のエピソウド」が彼女の命を奪ったとしたら、この事についても彼女は予感できなかったことになる。ま、そんなノウトの存在を他人に識られるやうでは、預言者としての資質を本質的に欠いてゐるやうにしか、私には思はれないのだが。ま、しかし、この被害者もマスコミが作りだした悲劇だったのかも知れない。説經強盗も竹槍事件も、そして硫黄島の寫眞事件も、すべてマスコミ絡みの事件であった。
