also known as Theodosius the Great, was Roman Emperor from AD 379 to AD 395.
Theodosius was the last emperor to rule over both the eastern and the western halves of the Roman Empire.
On accepting his elevation, he campaigned against Goths and other barbarians who had invaded the empire. He failed to kill, expel, or entirely subjugate them, and after the Gothic War, they established a homeland south of the Danube, in Illyricum, within the empire's borders.
He fought two destructive civil wars, in which he defeated the usurpers Magnus Maximus and Eugenius at great cost to the power of the empire.

Although it was only four months, he became the last emperor who virtually dominated the Roman Empire, which had split east and west, by one person.

The 12 Level Cap and Rank System (冠位十二階 Kan'i Jūnikai), was the first of what would be several similar cap and rank systems established during the Asuka 飛鳥 period of Japanese history.
It was adapted from similar systems that were already in place in Sui 隋 dynasty China, Paekche and Koguryŏ. The officials wore silk caps that were decorated with gold and silver, and a feather that indicated the official's rank.
The ranks in the twelve level cap and rank system consisted of the greater and the lesser of each of the six Confucian virtues: virtue (徳 toku), benevolence (仁 jin), propriety (礼 rei), sincerity (信 shin), justice (義 gi) and knowledge (智 chi).

Nicolaus Steno, auch Nicolas Stenon war ein dänischer Mediziner, Anatom und Naturforscher, später katholischer Priester und Bischof.
Er wird in der römisch-katholischen Kirche als Seliger verehrt. Wilhelm von Humboldt bezeichnete ihn als „Vater der Geologie“.

1665、フィレンツェに移り、アカデミアの会員になり Ferdinad de Medici の保護をうけて自然科学の研究に携わった。自分の解剖学的知見と化石の類似とトスカナ地方を中心とするイタリアの地形や地層の観察から、地層の生成に関する研究の成果『固体の中に自然に含まれている固体についての論文への序文』を出版。それは地質學の先驅的な著作となった。
解剖学の分野で耳下腺管（ステノ管）を発見した。

Hayashi Hōkō est un lettré néo-confucéen, enseignant et administrateur du système des hautes études du shogunat Tokugawa durant l'époque d'Edo. Il fait partie des lettrés confucéens du clan Hayashi.

五代將軍徳川綱吉164609の文治政治の担当者の一人であった。
林羅山158357の三男であった林鵞峰161880の二男。兄が早世したため林家の後繼になった。
1680延寶08、父の没去により職祿を繼ぎ、大蔵卿法印･弘文院学士となった。その後、四代から八代將軍の五代にわたり使へた。
1691元祿04、上野不忍池滸にあった家塾が湯島に移され湯島聖堂となったときに大學頭に任じられた。以後、大學頭も林家の管掌となった。

（Diniel Nathan 190582 ＋ Manfred Lee 190571）were American cousins from Brooklyn, New York, who wrote, edited, and anthologized detective fiction under the pseudonym of Ellery Queen.
And "Ellery Queen" is not only the name of the author but also the name of the name detective of the story.
They also used a different pen name. It would be a mystery.

Ikuta Chōkō est un critique littéraire et traducteur japonais.
Avec ses traductions d’œuvres de Nietzsche (Ainsi parlait Zarathoustra), Gabriele D’Annunzio (Le Triomphe de la mort), Dante (la Divine Comédie), Karl Marx et Gustave Flaubert, Ikuta s'impose comme un traducteur japonais majeur du début du XXe siècle.
En tant que promoteur du mouvement féministe émergent, il dirige avec la poétesse Akiko Yosano 與謝野晶子187842 et les écrivains Kochō Baba 馬場胡蝶186940 et Sōhei Morita 盛田草平 un cercle littéraire pour femmes (Keishū Bungakkai 閨秀文學界).

ファシスト政権下で外交官として行動し、後にムソリニが兼務していた外相となり、更にアルバニア総督も着任。
ムソリニの後継者と思はれた時期もあったが、アルバニアでの汚職や枢軸国としての参戦に反対した事などから次第に政権から遠ざけられた。
第二次大戦の後半には連合国との講和をもくろみ党大評議会と王党派によるクウデタ（グランディ決議）に加担し、義父のムソリニを失脚させた。が、イタリア社会共和国成立により身柄を拘束され、ヒトラーから強強談判にムソリニの命令で銃殺刑に処された。

In the 1910's, he learned about Cubism through Robert Delaunay, and in 1913 he was fascinated by the "blue knight" and worked with Vassiliy Kandinsky, Paul Klee, etc. In 1919, he invited Walter Gropius.lectured at "Bauhaus".

1884明治17、十歳で十四代目宗家を継承、1894「六平太」を襲名する。家元とはいへ、喜多流は極度に衰退し師匠もなく、梅津只円など多くの弟子筋や分家に師事し、苦勞のすゑに獨自の藝境に到達し、昭和を代表する名人となった。

戦後は貴族院勅選議員に勅任され、国語国字問題に取り組んで「ふりがな廃止論」を展開したことでも知られる（それだけではない。日本語を破壞した元凶の一人）。憲法の口語化運動にも熱心に取り組んだ。

若い時の彼が引き起こした破廉恥な『破船』事件 ――
彼、山本有三は漱石門下の久米正雄と仲が險惡で、久米が漱石長女筆子を巡って松岡譲と爭奪戰を演じた、いはゆる『破船』事件の時に、山本は久米を陥れようと企んで、久米を「女狂ひ、性的不能者、性病患者」などとあらぬ誹謗中傷を書き綴った怪文書を（さらに惡質に）筆子の学友の名を騙って夏目家に送りつけた。怪文書の筆跡は明らかに女性のものだったが、有三が作った文面を妻に清書させたものと久米も松岡も筆子も判斷した。
