今日は、１９４５年の日本にアメリカによって二發目の原子爆彈が投下された日だ。

＆

今日は、文藝作品『ガラス玉演戲』の作者であることによって私にとって重要な作家である Hermann Hesse 187762 が1962年に逝去した日でもある。

彼がその生涯の最後に作った Glasperlenspiel は私に文藝を超えた大きな影響をあたへた。その内容よりも『ガラス玉演戲』といふ表題の語感が私を魅惑した。その人工性においてガラス玉は水晶玉よりも私には啓示的だったのであった。
だが、不滿もあった。ヘッセの（この現代文化にたいする批判としての Glasperlenspiel といふ）アイデアはよかったが、その具体化においては成功してゐるとは私には思へなかったのである。
ガラス玉によって Spiel＝遊戲する、私もさっそく自前の Glasperlenspiel を工夫する。その Spiel はひとまづ私においては東洋思想がつくりだした『易と曼荼羅』であった。
とともに、Glasperlenspiel ＝GlassBeadGame は Golf Ball Game とゴロ重なっていき、私が取り組んだ唯一の球技であるゴルフを東洋的な身心論によって換骨奪胎してみるといふアイデア＆プランが着想された。

Glasperlenspiel はこの現代精神に對抗できる新たな精神を體得するためのカリキュラムでなければならない、さうでないとこの現代にたいして本質的な批判するチカラタカラを持ちえないと思はれた。そしてそのとき、私がイメジしてゐたのは、日本人が昔から理想としてきた文武兩道といふ理念であった。日本の武人は他の國のそれに比べれば文人としての知的教養をそなへてゐる。たとへば、どんな武人でも和歌が作れる。それは何時遭遇するかも知れぬ自分の死の場面で必須のものであった。
文武兩道は身心論であった。身心の一如をめざす人間學であった。
かうして、日本人の武藝は文藝によって高め深められていった。
それが、現代になって西洋のスポウツを受容するうちに日本人から忘却されていった。世界化するうちにたとへば、「柔よく剛を制する」を根本理念とする柔道が體重制などの採用によりレスリングと變らぬものとなってしまった。あらゆる日本の武藝がさうやって西洋に毒されていった。事は武藝にとどまらない。日本文化の全體が西洋に汚染されていったのである。
柔道を取られたかはりにゴルフを奪ひ取って、それを東洋的な身心論に作り變へてやる。そんな野心めいた思ひも加はり、これを Glasperlenspiel に仕立ててやれと思ひ深めていった。そのために私が用ゐたのは、劍技と弓技であった。
私のは「ゴルフは球技といふより弓技に類似する」といふことを「ゴルフプレイはターゲットゲイムである」と云はれてゐることから直感した。
日本の弓道の射法、射を禮法で包みあげた弓道の射法八節をゴルフスヰングに重ねあはせてみるといふアイデア＆プランがすでに脳裏にあった。すでに完成圖の蒼寫眞はできてゐたのである。その重ね合はせを具體的なものにするために、私はゴルフスヰングの分析、スヰング動作の解體のための分析をおこなった。それを『ゴルフスヰングの進化と深化』としてまとめ、それを教科書にして、その最初の生徒と私自身がなったのであった。

この戦闘にロウマ帝國軍は敗退、以後トラキア地方はゴウト族の支配するところとなり、西ゴウト族は武力を保持したまゝロウマ帝國内に居座ることになった。
帝國の中央部に居座られて、ロウマ帝國の東西の分裂は決定的になった。
また、この戦闘の敗北は、ロウマ帝國の文化に大きな衝撃をあたへた。元ロウマ軍人であったアンミアスは、その歴史記述を、タキトス以降から始めたその歴史記述をウァレンス帝の戰死で終りにした。

僧侶、歌人。俗名、藤原定長

1150、叔父の藤原俊成111494の養子となり、中年で出家して、歌の道へと進み、『新古今和歌集』撰者とまでなるが、完成前に逝去。

後鳥羽院は『後鳥羽院御口傳』で「寂連は、なをざりならず歌詠みし者なり」「折につけて、きと歌詠み、連歌し、ないし狂歌までも、にはかの事に、故あるやうに詠みし方、眞實の堪能と見えき」と高く評價してゐる。

1797、アメリカ人のフルトンはナポレオンに沸くフランスはパリにやってきた。そして、フランス政府に世界初の發明品である手動式の潜水艦「ノウチラス」を売り込んだり、英國との戰爭のための兵員輸送用曳き船として蒸氣船を試作して売り込みをかけたがいづれもうまくいかなった。が、この時、知りあった駐佛米國大使の Robert Livingston からの支援を得て、外輪を備へた蒸氣船を試作し、この日、セエヌ川でお披露目をし、時速約３マイルで流れを遡ってみせた。しかし、フランス政府はこれでも採用しなかった。これでフランスを諦めたフルトンはイギリスへと行った。

小俣 Omata 蠖庵 KakuAn、味噌を扱ふ商家で財を成し、その財で書畫骨董を蒐集するうちに書畫に通じるうちに實作するやうになった。

清雅を好み、無慾で氣高く、つねに温和に人と接した。慈悲深く、人を助けた。その中には青木木米もゐた。

裁判官の長女として東京に生まれ、東京女子師範付属女學校を出て、和歌などを佐々木信綱187263などに學ぶ一方、英語を明治女學校で學び、かつ繪畫を橋本雅邦183508に、その他ピアノなども習って才色兼備となり、やがて、雜誌などに創作や飜譯など發表、才色兼備の評判をとった。
が、
1910、流感に肋膜炎を併發し、あっけなく死去。彼女の夫の友人でもあった夏目漱石186716はその死に際して、彼の俳句の最高作と云っていい

と絶唱した。
｛彼女の逝去の時でいいのかも知れないと思ったが忘れるといけないので、こゝに記録してをきます。

大塚楠緒については彼女の少し後輩（同じ東京生まれで四歳年下）になる長谷川時雨187941の筆になる弔文といふか薨傳といふか、同性ならではの情緒ある文章がある（青空文庫で讀めます）、彼女についての粗方のことはそこに記してある。

1920年代後半には数学者の業績顕彰のため、数学賞の創設を考え47,000ドルを集めたが、1932年に死去したため、1936年より開始されたフィールズ賞の創設を見ることができなかった。

第一回関東地方防空大演習、実施。これを0811の信濃毎日新聞で、桐生悠々の社説「関東防空大演習を嗤ふ」を掲載し、軍部が問題視する。

同文中で悠々は、敵機の空襲があったならば木造家屋の多い東京は焦土化すること、被害規模は関東大震災に及ぶであろうこと、空襲は何度も繰り返されるであろうこと、灯火管制は近代技術の前に意味がないばかりか、パニックを惹起し有害であること等、12年後の日本各都市の惨状をかなり正確に予言した上で、「だから、敵機を関東の空に、帝都の空に迎へ撃つといふことは、我軍の敗北そのものである」「要するに、航空戦は...空撃したものの勝であり空撃されたものの負である」と喝破した。この言説は陸軍の怒りを買い、長野県の在郷軍人で構成された信州郷軍同志会が信濃毎日新聞の不買運動を展開したため、悠々は同9月に再び信濃毎日の退社を強いられた。 Wikipedia ja

この戦闘はスカンジナビアでの戦闘でも範囲、規模ともに最大級のものであった。
