今日は出來事を並べるだけで精一杯、時間切れとなってしまった。來年の今月今夜までには仕上げておくことにします。まったく、とんでもないことを始めてしまった。
今日はまさにてんこ盛り、しかも大物の出來事ばかり、
ドイツ人にとっては、Otto von Bismarck 181598 が死んだ日であり、
アメリカ人にとっては、Henry Ford 186347 が生まれた日であり、
イギリス人にとって、William Penn 164418 と Thomas Gray 171671 の誕生の日であり、
スペイン人とフランス人にとっては、Louis XIV 163815 の王妃となった Marie Thérèse d'Autriche 163883 が逝去した日であり、
イタリア人にとっても、スヱデン人にとっても大事な人が亡くなった日であり、
メキシコ人には、Miguel Hidalgo 175311 が處刑された怨念の日であり、
日本人にとっては、122明治睦仁185212天皇が崩御し、東條英機188448 が出生した日であります。
さらに、日本人としての私には、

また、

1695、フランスの宰相 Jules Mazarin 160261 により Louis XIV 163815 の妃に選ばれる。この結婚は「ピレネ条約」で取り決められ、マリの持参金として賠償金を付けるかはりに彼女がルイによって生む子らのスペインの王位継承権を放棄することになってゐた。が、スペイン王家は持参金を支拂ふことができなかったことから、後に王位繼承權をめぐる國際戰爭（ネデルランド繼承戰爭やスペイン繼承戰爭）の火種となった。
彼女のフランス語はスペイン訛りの強いもので、宮廷で評判がよくなかった。そのためもあってか、それと元來慎ましやかな性格であった彼女は、義母のアンヌと室内で過ごすことを好んだ。が、アンヌは1666に死んでしまふ。
夫との關係は彼女の性格もあって表立った不和にはならなかったが、ルイは愛妾やら愛人を次々と作った。王妃は他人事のやうにそれを見てゐた。
マリは四十四歳で1683年に逝去した。ルイとのあひだには三男三女が生まれたが、成人したのは長男のルイだけであった。
｛昨日の記事（Thomas Cromwell 148540 の斷首事件）で紹介したHans Holbein 149743 も Diego Velázquez 159960 このくらゐのリアリティで描いておけば、あんな大事の原因にはならなくてすんだのではないだらうと思はれるが、。しかし、まあ、名画と歴史とがかうして重なって、一段と興趣深くなったのはありがたいことである。
