日本、NHK『第三回NHK紅白歌合戦』がテレビで実験放送（0102に開催したのはこの年だけ）
1954
皇居一般参賀、二重橋で將棋倒しが起こり、12人が壓死＝二重橋事件。
1955
日本、「ナイロンザイル事件」前穂高岳の冬登山で、當時出囘り始めてゐたナイロン製のザイルが切れて、登山者が墜落死。他にも似たような切断事故があり、ロウプ強度の公開實驗などがあり、社界問題へと發展、それに油を注いだのが、朝日新聞に連載が始まった井上靖190791の『氷壁』1956であった。この小説はこのザイル事件を直接の題材にして作られた。この小説が登山ブウムを加熱させた。

昭和天皇へのパチンコ狙撃事件、起こる。犯人は奥崎謙三192005。
｛原一男監督の映画『ゆきゆきて、神軍』は奥崎謙三のドキュメントが内容。ドキュメンタリ作家のマイケル・ムーアが「生涯観た映画の中でも最高のドキュメンタリーだ」と語っている。私も、この映画を見て、映像の奥崎の迫力に圧倒されるやうな氣になった。 YouTube にあるかも知れない。

日本、ボクシング世界フライ級タイトルマッチで大場政夫が五度目の防衛。直後の0125、自動車事故を起こして死亡。
